Anker Soundcore Space One Pro Has A Design That Will Make You Fall In Love

Did you think only phones could be foldable? The Soundcore Space One Pro from Anker are wireless headphones that, in addition to being easy to carry, feature active noise cancellation technology.

Anker has long ceased to be just an external battery manufacturer. Under its Soundcore brand, the company has created over-ear wireless headphones that offer active noise cancellation at a reasonable price.

They cost 200 euros, fold down to reduce their size by 50%, and, according to the manufacturer, offer up to 60 hours of playback on a single charge (and they also feature fast charging).

All of this, of course, is on paper. In this review of the Soundcore Space One Pro, I’ll tell you what I think of these wireless headphones, whether I recommend them, and what their pros and cons are.

Foldable design to take up half the space

The Space One Pro comes with a design that clearly shows the manufacturer has focused on comfort.

They are padded from top to bottom, both in the part that touches your ears and in the headband that sits on your head.

The headband height doesn’t adjust in steps like other headphones, but instead has free movement, so you can set it exactly where you want.

They are comfortable and easily adjustable to your liking, they weigh almost nothing, and they remain comfortable even after several hours of continuous use.

On the left earcup, you’ll find the buttons for noise cancellation (to turn it on and off) and power, as well as the mini-jack port and USB Type-C charging port. On the right side, there are the playback/pause and volume buttons.

The unit I tested was white (Cream White), but they’re also available in black (Jet Black).

Oh, and by the way! They come with a headphone mini-jack port, as well as a cable of the same type in the box, so you can use them by connecting directly to a compatible device.

The best part is their foldable format—in just a few moves, you have the headphones completely folded and taking up, according to the manufacturer, 50% of the space.

Easily pairs with any Bluetooth device, has an official app, and supports multi-device connection

Since the Space One Pro headphones feature Fast Pair technology, pairing them with Android and Apple iOS phones couldn’t be easier. A couple of taps on the screen, and they’re ready to use.

Anker also offers an official app called Soundcore, from which you can control all the functions of the headphones in more detail.

You can choose between different ambient sound levels (including a custom transparency mode), wind noise reduction, audio effects, and customization of the physical buttons, among other features.

With the dual connection, you can connect the headphones to your computer while also connected to your phone. This is very useful if you spend long hours in front of the computer.

The app is important because it allows you to download and install system updates for the headphones. For example, I had a pending update when I started testing them, so I recommend downloading it.

Sound with a lot of depth and, yes, active noise cancellation that lives up to its name

Don’t think Anker has put all the effort into just the design. They haven’t neglected sound quality at all, offering a result that will pleasantly surprise you if you’re somewhat demanding with audio.

The brand boasts about choosing drivers made from diaphragms crafted with PEEK (polyether ether ketone) and polyurethane, which allows them to reduce harmonic distortion to below 3%.

There’s one thing that some might not like, though. By default, the headphones come with what I think is an overly bass-heavy mode (in the app’s settings, it’s called “Soundcore Signature”), but this is easily fixed by adjusting the sound effect through the equalizer.

You can easily get through an entire day of use.

The battery of the Space One Pro is built to last not just hours but days. Even with intensive use, including noise cancellation, you’ll be able to make it through the day without needing to reach for the charger.

However, if you reduce usage by, for example, turning off noise cancellation, you can easily get two days or more of use from a single charge.

Additionally, fast charging offers up to eight hours of audio playback with just five minutes of charging.

Verdict: a solid package for wireless headphones, and if they were 50 euros cheaper, I’d recommend them without hesitation.

200 euros isn’t a bad price for the Soundcore Space One Pro. They have a great design for travel, noise cancellation that delivers good results, and reasonable audio quality for the price.

The thing is, in the 200 euro price range, I find it hard not to recommend other, more well-rounded alternatives, such as the Sony WH-1000XM5 (or even the new Sony ULT Wear), which have been the kings of this category for years.

If you place more importance on features like the foldable design of the headphones or maximum comfort during use, these Space One Pro might be a better option for you. What I’m sure of is that if you see them on sale for 50 euros less than their usual price, don’t hesitate—grab them immediately.
