Acer Aspire Vero 16 A Laptop Necessary for the Environment

There are also laptops on the market that are committed to using more environmentally friendly materials, such as the Acer Aspire Vero 16, which I was able to test and which has organic paint and a touchpad made from recycled marine plastic.

I have been testing the latest laptops on the market for many years, but I have never seen anything like the Acer Aspire Vero 16.

This Acer range is committed to the planet, so it adds exclusive materials that are difficult to see in others, such as recycled ocean plastic for its touchpad.

Respectful of the planet: organic paint and recycled ocean plastic

The design of the Acer Aspire Vero 16 is its most distinctive feature, with a finish that, as the company reminds us, respects the planet by incorporating materials such as organic paint.

But also recycled ocean plastic in its touchpad, something that is difficult to see in laptops and computers in general.

In everyday use, these may appear to be low-quality materials, but nothing could be further from the truth, as you will only notice them in small notches in the design.

As a reminder of its main purpose, the letters E and R are reversed on the keyboard, a very original abbreviation to remember where this laptop comes from.

In addition to its materials, it also has certificates of strength and durability that make it a good laptop to carry in your backpack without getting scratched or damaged.

It also has some of the most common physical connections, as well as the possibility of mechanically closing the camera, which is very positive for the user’s privacy.
Its screen is one of the most common, but this is not a negative thing.

In terms of the screen, the Acer Aspire Vero 16 doesn’t stray from the market norm and uses a 16-inch LCD panel with a 16:10 aspect ratio.

As you can see, this is one of the most popular laptop formats, and the laptop makes good use of the bezels without making them extremely thin.
In any case, you will have to think very carefully about whether the 60 Hz refresh rate is sufficient for what you are looking for, as it may not be the most recommended value in certain cases.
In any case, I think it’s a good screen in terms of colour and brightness for studying, working or watching films and series. On the other hand, it has 2 fairly mediocre speakers in terms of sound, although it does allow access.

In any case, I think it’s a good screen in terms of colour and brightness for studying, working or watching films and series.

On the other hand, it has 2 fairly mediocre speakers in terms of sound, although it does allow access to interesting software functions such as AI noise reduction in conferences.

The Intel Core 7 155U is a processor that won’t let you down.

Inside, Acer has opted for one of the processors from the Meteor Lake range, the Intel Core Ultra 7 155U, a processor adapted to the new era in which AI seems to be an attraction for laptops.

It is a chip that performs very well and, according to the analyses of various platforms such as Geekbench or Cinebench, it is almost at the same level as others such as the AMD Ryzen AI 9 HZ 370 and the Intel Core Ultra 9 185H.

I was able to analyse both models in the Asus ProArt PX13 and the Asus Zenbook Duo, and they work wonderfully for tasks involving AI, as is the case with this Acer laptop.

It also has 16 GB of DDR5 RAM, somewhat less than other competitors on the market, which tend to opt for 32 GB, but at a slightly higher price.
In terms of battery life, the truth is that this Acer laptop is very energy efficient, which means that you can easily get 10 hours of normal use, for example, browsing office applications.

Not only does it last for more than a full day’s work, but it also has a fast charge, with a charger that is only slightly larger than a mobile phone charger, so it will be ready in about an hour, less if you choose to charge it from 20% to 80%, which is the most convenient option.

AcerSense is a good control centre for the Aspire Vero 16

For a complete experience with the laptop, Acer has added the AcerSense application, which allows you to configure the device and adapt it to your use, for example, with automatic modes such as Eco, Eco+, Balanced and Performance.

It also gives you access to the laptop’s key performance indicators, such as RAM, CPU and system temperature, which is usually around 30 degrees Celsius (86 degrees Fahrenheit).

From here, you can also configure several quick access applications and increase battery life from 20% to 80% with the aforementioned smart charging.

It also allows you to analyse each component in case something is not working properly. In short, it is an application that works perfectly, so you don’t have to rely on third-party or Windows services.

In summary: is the Acer Aspire Vero 16 worth buying?

If you are looking for a laptop that has been designed with the environment in mind, the Acer Aspire Vero 16 will not disappoint. What’s more, it is not expensive, as you can buy it for 999 euros.
It is not the cheapest on the market, but it has some very positive features, such as its spectacular battery life and one of the most advanced processors in the Intel range.

In conclusion, it is the best laptop if you are looking for a different design that will not leave you indifferent, together with several specifications adapted to the new times.
