The Dreame L10s Pro Ultra Heat Robot Vacuum Cleaner is synonymous with Innovation and Efficiency in your Home

Analysis Blog Devices News Technology

The Dreame L10s Pro Ultra Heat robot vacuum cleaner is an essential device for everyday use, thanks to its convenience, efficiency, and everything it has to offer in various aspects.

You may not be familiar with Dreame, or you may not have heard of this brand at all. Well, I have to tell you that it is a company owned by Xiaomi that is doing extremely well with the latest models it has launched on the market.

It has had launches that have resulted in very good devices, but I think that with this Dreame L10s Pro Ultra Heat they have reached a point where they can compete with the best in many aspects, including cleaning itself and everything that a smart robot vacuum cleaner offers the user.

The truth is that as soon as you see the technical specifications, you’ll understand why it’s a top-of-the-line robot vacuum cleaner, not only in terms of numbers, but also in terms of the experience it offers when you try it out in depth.

You’re sure to enjoy learning everything this Dreame L10s Pro Ultra Heat can do for you and everything you can do with it yourself.

It has a more practical than spectacular design

If you’ve never had a robot vacuum cleaner with a base like this, you may find it huge and even excessive at first. The thing is, once you start using the whole system regularly, the initial drawback of the base’s size is forgotten in a matter of seconds thanks to the immense convenience it offers the user.

It’s clear that Dreame is clearly committed to the self-emptying base as a selling point for this model, as it’s not only large but also has a lot to offer.

Although it may seem overwhelming at first glance, when you examine it, you realize why and then you begin to understand not only its purpose but also its value.

At the top, there is a lid that reveals the two tanks, one of them white for clean water and the other dark for dirty water resulting from washing the floor.

Both are easy to remove, fill, or empty, depending on which one it is, and you will have no difficulty putting them back in place, as there is only one way to do so.

A little lower down, there is a kind of door, which comes out completely and where you can see the bag where the dirt accumulates and next to it a bottle where you should add the cleaning liquid included in the box.

If you look at the bottom, you will see a kind of plastic mat, where the device will be when it is not in use, charging, or when it needs to go to the base to empty water or clean the mops, for example.

I just want to mention something that hasn’t been very clear to me in the weeks I’ve been using it, as there is a white LED on the top that is not always on, and I haven’t quite understood why it turns on and off, and it is not a battery indicator.

When we first look at the robot vacuum cleaner, we get the impression that it is similar to many other models, at least in terms of design. At the top, there is a rounded area where the LiDAR laser sensor is located.

There are three buttons on the top, one to send it to the base, another to turn it on/off, and a third for spot cleaning. In addition, this upper part also has a cover which, when lifted, reveals the device’s solid waste container, the Wi-Fi button/LED, and a button for resetting the device if necessary.

At the bottom, in addition to the three wheels that normally come with this type of device, there is a central brush, a side brush, anti-fall sensors, and two circular rotating mops with different types of friction.

There is nothing particularly surprising on the bottom, although when it is in operation, the fact that the mops move in and out of the unit for better cleaning gives you an idea that appearances can sometimes be deceiving.

It has a very advanced and intelligent navigation system

You’ve already read that it has a LiDAR laser on the top, but what we didn’t mention is that it also has an incredibly effective camera on the front. This isn’t the first robot vacuum cleaner I’ve used, but I’ve never had one that gets stuck so little. In fact, in the last few weeks, it’s only needed help once.

As is normal, it will need a few passes to create an accurate map of your home, but the truth is that the first few times it behaves in a completely logical way, marking the edges and then zigzagging to get to know the space better.

Something that personally surprised and delighted me is that it has no problem with cables, as it detects them and goes around them, doing the same with shoelaces it might find around the house.

If there is one flaw, it is that its size prevents it from passing through some small areas, which you will have to continue cleaning by hand, but this is basically a problem that all current modern robots have.

Okay, so it’s tall, around the area where the laser is, reaching up to 9.7 centimeters, but that hasn’t really been a problem in terms of it getting under the furniture in my house, as the few pieces that don’t reach the floor are slightly higher than the robot’s height of almost 10 cm.

What I don’t quite understand is why sometimes it starts in one part of the house and other times in another. I mean, the base is in a central location, so logic would dictate that it should always start on the same side.

But no, sometimes it goes to the right and other times to the left. In addition, it has happened a couple of times, not many, but I have to mention it, that it has returned to the base without cleaning a specific area and without any explanation. The truth is that when this has happened, I have automatically sent it to that area and the problem is solved.

It must be something to do with the map, because as the days go by, it stops doing it.

Good cleaning quality: it’s very powerful and quiet

The fact that the mops have different levels of friction depending on the dirt and that they move outwards when they need to reach a specific area is something that I’m really excited about and I think it’s one of the best features of this device.

All this means that it will reach corners or more difficult areas thanks to its mops. What’s more, if it can’t reach an area, even with the mops open, it is able to turn around or go backwards to get to the dirt. It shows that it can make decisions to get the best possible result.

For homes with pets (like mine), it also performs very well, as its effectiveness with this type of hair and dirt is up to the task.

Despite having a power of 7,000 Pa, which helps to achieve very good suction results, I was surprised by how quiet it is compared to other options I have tried that perform less well in this regard.

The Dreame Home mobile app

The Dreame L10s Pro Ultra Heat connects to your home Wi-Fi and is controlled entirely from your mobile phone. More specifically, from the Dreame Home app, available for Android and iPhone.

The interface isn’t the best I’ve seen, falling halfway between a modern design and being overly simple. It’s neither one thing nor the other, but a bit of both.

The main screen is clear, showing the map, some statistics, and various cleaning options, as well as access to the settings. The basics are all on this first panel, such as turning it on or sending it to the base.

Then things get a little complicated, because to configure the multiple options it has, you have to go to other screens, which are not presented in an intuitive way.
That’s when you see that the range of possibilities is impressive, and you have to go through different menus to achieve things such as:

Selecting how and when the tank is emptied.
Choosing how the mops are washed.
Viewing the cleaning history.

The types of floor cleaning it can perform.
Configuring the real-time camera.
How to avoid obstacles with the help of AI.
Battery management.
The voice and language it speaks (English is the default).
Adjust the behavior of AI MopExtend.

Cleaning the mops themselves.
Choose whether to vacuum first and then mop, or do both at the same time.
Select when the tanks are emptied. That is, the frequency or leave it on automatic.

There are more options, but it would be too tedious to list them all. This shows that the level of customization that can be achieved is truly impressive and even overwhelming for many users.

You can use it to work directly by pressing a button and forget about the rest of the settings, leaving them as they are by default. You can also become an expert by telling it what to do, how to do it at any given time, and in any situation it may encounter.

Better than expected battery life

The Dreame L10s Pro Ultra Heat has a 5,200 mAh battery with a battery life of 210 minutes of uninterrupted use, according to the manufacturer.

In my experience, for a room of around 115 square meters, leaving it in standard mode, it’s more than enough to vacuum and mop the entire surface without any problems. However, it does tend to return to the base to clean the mops it uses when it considers them to be sufficiently dirty.

When used for 30 minutes with the turbo system, the battery remains between 67% and 69%. If you opt for normal mode, the battery life is between 77% and 79% for the same amount of time.

These tests were carried out by mopping and vacuuming at the same time on consecutive days.

Although it may not seem like it, it needs maintenance

Honestly, when I tested the vacuum cleaner and saw everything it had to offer, it never crossed my mind that it would need maintenance, sooner or later.

Compared to older robots that only had a charging base and nothing else, the maintenance of this Dreame L10s Pro Ultra Heat is minimal, but even so, you do need to pay attention to certain details.

The most important thing to look out for are the water tanks, which need to be emptied and refilled at the right time. The solid waste tank lasts about 75 days.

The truth is that it’s much better to remove these tanks than to have to handle the accumulated dust that the first robots collected, which left your hands covered in dirt.

El Dreame L10s Pro Ultra Heat, una opción avanzada y eficiente para la limpieza del hogar

I think that after reading the review and everything I’ve said, you’ll have a clear idea of what I think of the Dreame L10s Pro Ultra Heat.

Even so, the answer to the question of whether this robot is worth it will depend largely on your budget, because it’s not exactly cheap at around $1,000.

But I have to admit that, despite its price tag, this robot is worth it and will make you forget about other well-known brands. It’s versatile, fast, powerful, and has lots of sensors, which are all good reasons to choose it.

If budget is not an issue for you, then the answer is much more straightforward. It is worth it because it has everything you need to make it an essential tool for cleaning your home.

If one thing is clear to me, it is that other robot vacuum cleaners need to improve their quality to match this Dreame, especially in terms of value for money.
